Terroir : Argillaceous limestone soil, terraced hills south- and south-west-facing, 15 ha divided into several parcels spread over the 3 villages of Saint-Cyr, Le Brulat and La Cadière. Density : 4400 vinestocks/ hectare . Yield 35 hl/hectare. Output : 69,500 bottles.
Cepage : Cinsault 30%, Grenache 50%, Mourvèdre 10%, Carignan 10%
Garde : to be drunk young.
Degustation : salmon rose colour – the nose exhibits mediterranean garrigue* scents – flinty – floral – spiced – fullbodied with a fleshy aftertaste although being elegant. To be drunk as aperitif.
Recommended side-dish : grilled lamb, specialities from Provence.
* This Provencal word applies to these windswept hilltops /slopes inhabited by scrub-brush and Provence herb outcroppings.
