Terroir : Pibarnon, located between the villages of Saint-Cyr sur Mer and La Cadière d'Azur is fully facing the south and the west. The north is protected by the Sainte-Baume massif and in the east you find the village of Le Castellet. The total area has 47 hectares of which 33 are vine-planted and 2 await plantation. Marlstone and limestone soil which give to the wines their fine tannins, the powerful and complex bouquet, elegance and balance.
Cepage : Mourvèdre 95%, Grenache 5%
Garde : 10 to 15 years.
Proposed side-dish : game and spiced red meat.
*saignée means the process used to make rosé by which a blend of dark-skinned red grapes are crushed and a certain amount of juice is « bled « out and used for making rosé.
