Domaine Sulauze Cuvée Saint-Jean Rouge (Red)

Terroir : Coteaux d'Aix en Provence A.O.C. (origin label). Limestone substrate. Vineyards located in the south of Badasset. Method of cultivation : vines are trained on horizontal wires (trellis system called Cordon Royat), pruned short at the 8th eye of the stock. Natural and permanent weediness, reasonnable protection. Mechanical harvesting at maturity. Average yield 25 hl per hectare. Age of the vineyard between 15 and 25 years.
Cepage : Syrah, Cabernet and Grenache.
Garde : 3 to 7 years are suggested.
Degustation : Deep red colour. The nose combines harmoniously fur, small berries and grilled red peppers. Fresh and pleasant mouthfeeling.
Proposed side-dish : rib-steak and fried Porcini mushrooms.
